STABILITY OF THE JORDANIAN ELECTRICAL NETWORK (UP RATING AL-RISHA-AMMAN 132 kV TRANSMISSION LINE)
Atef Saleh Othman Al-Mashakbeh (Jordan)
Abstract:
In this paper, we will provide technical and economical solutions required for increasing power transfer from Al-Risha power plant in both cases of 120 and 150 MW capacities to the load centers at Amman via the existing 132 kV transmission line. The proposed solutions are series capacitor compensation and reconductoring of the existing line by using thermal conductor. This paper will examine, evaluate technical and economical comparison of these alternatives and recommend the most suitable solution.
Keywords and phrases:
