ON THE HOMOMORPHISM INDUCED BY REGION CROSSING CHANGE

Abstract:
Shimizu et al. defined an operation on link diagram D, called region crossing change. In this paper, we show that the region crossing change introduces a  -linear map  where  denotes the set of the regions of D, and  denotes the set of the crossings of D. Then, we give a basis of the kernel of j, which has neat geometric representatives. |
