Abstract: This paper deals with the effect of deflection of
magnetic field on the steady MHD flow past an infinite plane wall with suction
or injection at the forward stagnation point for constant magnetic interaction
parameter N. The imposed magnetic
field makes an angle q to
the wall and the parameter is considered in the governing
equation of motion for deflection of magnetic field. The equation of motion is a
nonlinear ordinary differential equation and is linearized by quasi-linearization
method. Finite difference method is applied to solve the problem and the effects
of various parameters have been studied on the velocity of the fluid, momentum
thickness, displacement thickness and skin-friction.
