Recently, Uddin et al. studied warped product semi-slant sub-manifolds of cosymplectic and nearly cosymplectic manifolds in [9] and [12], respectively. They obtained a geometric inequality in case of existence of such warped products in nearly cosymplectic manifolds. In this paper, we obtain a characterization for the warped product semi-slant submanifolds of the form  in nearly cosymplectic manifolds.
