THE PAINTED CUBE: EXTENSIONS FROM A CLASSIC PROBLEM
In this article, we discuss how a classic problem, the painted cube problem, and some interesting extensions may be used to provide students with the opportunity to utilize some of the mathematical practices described in the CCSS-M. The extensions we suggest will assist students in seeing connections among mathematical concepts.
