ON SPIN STRUCTURES OF DOUBLE BRANCHED COVERING SPACES

Abstract:
In this paper, we study about orientations of fixed point sets of  structure preserving involutions, and give a necessary and sufficient condition for a double branched covering space to be spin. Moreover, we give a necessary and sufficient condition for a double covering space to admit a spin structure which is preserved by the covering transformation map of odd type. |
