DISCRETISATION MODELING OF LAMINAR CIRCULAR TWO PHASE JET FLOW AND HEAT TRANSFER
The laminar flow of a two phase jet with a dilute suspension of particles is studied, numerically, by using a non-uniform grid. As expected in a jet flow, the velocity of carrier fluid as well as particle phase at the centre goes on decreasing and the mixing region broadens out towards the downstream. Similarly, the temperature of the carrier fluid and particle phase goes on decreasing towards the downstream. It is also observed that the magnitude of velocity and temperature of carrier fluid phase decreases when it is significantly affected by the particles.
