Abstract: Malicious objects such as virus, worms, Trojan horse, spam, spyware, etc. are the major threats to our valuable information stored at the interconnected computers. It is required to compute the population dynamics for a particular type of malicious object to ensure the level of risk by it. In this paper, an analogy is fixed between a living being population and malicious object population in computer network by using the well known logistic equation of population. Because, living being population is a continuous process having different factors such as death of rate and birth rate. Similarly, malicious object population also depends up on similar factors such as self-replication rate and rate of fully cured instances. This paper simulates the mathematical equations derived to represent the population model of malicious object. This is the continuous population model for single specie of malicious objects. |
