SKILL APPLICATION OF THE THEORY: NEW SOLITARY WAVE SOLUTIONS AND PERIODIC SOLUTIONS OF THE MODIFIED KdV EQUATION

Abstract:
The Darboux transformation for the modified Korteweg-de Vries (MKdV) equation is employed to generate new solitary wave solutions and triangle function periodic solutions from a nonzero constant solution, these distinct solutions are first obtained by choosing two different types of eigenvalues for the first-order ordinary differential system which stems from the Lax pair in the theorem. |
