RECURRENCE RELATIONS FOR MOMENTS OF k-th RECORD
VALUES FROM A WEIBULL EXTENSION MODEL

Abstract: In this paper we
establish some recurrence relations for single and product moments from a
three-parameter Weibull extension model. The results presented here are
generalization of the recurrence relations for moments of upper record values
and the k-th upper record values for
some lifetime distributions in the literature such as the ordinary Weibull, the
Gompertz, the Exponential and the Rayleigh distributions, which are special
cases from the Weibull extension model. Also characterizations of these
distributions based on the single moments are given. |
