Abstract: Meta-analyses of diagnostic tests are evaluated by a summary receiver operating characteristic curves. Several models were proposed in literature to assess the SROC curves for dichotomous or ordinal data. When data are ordinal, the SROC curve is derived from the summary of the parameters of the ROC curves of each study. When data are dichotomous, the SROC curve is derived from a regression model. The purpose of this paper is to present these models. The regression model was improved to ordinal data. An improvement for paired data is proposed. Methods were applied on multi-centric data of radiology. |
