Abstract: The widespread use of the Internet brings about issues regarding intellectual property and copyright. After education content was downloaded, no further protection is provided on the content that has been accessed. DRM (Digital Rights Management) technologies came out to ensure the protection of copyrighted information. In the paper, we review issues around content distribution and digital rights management focusing on content business model, and present an example implementation. Distinguishing features of our proposal are the transparency of content distribution and the level of security the distribution service offers. Transparency of content/right distribution is based on our business model, slightly modified from IMPRIMATUR model. Secure content distribution is achieved through the use of distributed content keys scheme, which ensures that only authorized entities can access the copyright-protected content. |
