Internet of Things is a network of heterogeneous devices generating data and communicating among themselves with least human intervention. The result of technological revolution is that today billion of devices are exchanging information through network channel or internet. The large amount of data being circulated within the network needs strong security and privacy. Major security concerns are authentication, data integrity, confidentiality, privacy, and trust. IoT environment is different from the traditional network due to different standard and communication stack present in the network. There are many other security challenges being faced in IoT environment than the regular environment. This paper surveys various data security challenges faced in various domains of IoT applications.
