Satellite communication plays a vital role in telecommunication, especially in meteorological department. The department provides various services like weather forecasting, aviation services, marine services, weather forecasting models and various statistical data for agriculture, industries and other services to the nation. The protection of satellite image is mandatory over the transmission medium against intruder. In this paper, we propose a mysterious pattern generation scheme for various satellite images based on visual cryptography technique. The senior scientist scrambles the secret satellite image into chaotic pattern and a mysterious satellite pattern is generated based on visual cryptography. Finally, the mysterious patterns are transmitted over the communication channel and the reconstruction phase ensures the security of satellite image.
