ERROR ANALYSIS FOR CONSTANT ELEMENTS IN THE BOUNDARY ELEMENT METHOD
We study the problem of errors in the boundary element method. By considering the integral formulation of the boundary element method and, drawing from the basic principals of the boundary integral discretisation, we derive errors analyses for the constant elements formulation. By scrutinising the interpolation, numerical quadrature and numerical boundary representation, we show that the error convergence in constant elements BEM is second order in grid size.
