A SECOND-ORDER PRESSURE-CORRECTION PROJECTION SCHEME FOR THE k-e TURBULENCE MODEL
In this paper, we present the fully second-order numerical scheme for solving the k-eturbulence model. The standard incremental pressure-correction projection scheme is applied for solving the Navier-Stokes equations. The nonlinear terms in the transport equations for kinetic energy kand dissipation rate ecan be treated by the semi-implicit scheme. For avoiding stability problems, the convective terms in this model are discretized with the mixed of central differences and donor-cell schemes. The accuracy can be adjusted by the weight parameter. This numerical scheme is much more accurate and more stable than the explicit schemes.
