PERISTALTIC PUMPING OF A BINGHAM FLUID IN CONTACT WITH A NEWTONIAN FLUID IN AN INCLINED CHANNEL UNDER LONG WAVELENGTH APPROXIMATION
In this paper, we study the peristaltic transport of a Bingham fluid in contact with a Newtonian fluid in an inclined channel. This model is useful to understand the peristaltic pumping of blood in inclined small vessels. The velocity field, the stream function and the pressure rise over one cycle of wavelength are obtained. The effect of angle of inclination on the pumping characteristics and the influence of yield stress on the shape of interface are discussed.
