WATER AND AIR TEMPERATURE VARIABILITY ALONG THE COAST OF PRIMORYE (JAPAN/EAST SEA)
L. A. Gayko
|
Abstract: The paper concerns the analysis of long-term series observations of sea surface water temperature and the air temperature at 6 coastal stations of Primorye from 1930 to 2010. The positive trend in air temperature has been registered for all stations. The significant trend in the water temperature has been registered at Vladivostok, Possyet and Sosunovo stations only. The water temperature at Vladivostok station has increased by 0.9°C/75 years, and the air temperature at Nakhodka - by 2.0°Ð¡/75 years. It is established that the size of correlation coefficient between the water temperature and air is the advection indicator. The low correlation coefficient between the water and air temperature at Nakhodka station is explained by local features of water circulation. |
