A METHOD BASED ON THE FUZZIFICATION FOR SOLVING FUZZY NUMBER RELATIONSHIP LINEAR PROGRAMMING PROBLEMS
This paper presents a solution method to deal with a kind of fuzzy linear programming problem (FLPP) where all the variables and parameters are triangular fuzzy numbers of LR-type. We have introduced a technique; the centre of area method (CAM), as a defuzzification mechanism to locate the best nonfuzzy performance (BNP) value of the triangular fuzzy numbers of LR-type involved in the FLPP. The FLPP is transformed in a classical linear programming problem (LPP) and the LPP can be solved by using simplex method. The proposed method is then supplied with a numerical example to illustrate the procedure and compare the result with other extant methods.
