ACTIVITIES BASED TEACHING STRATEGIES FOR PRE-KINDERGARTEN MATHEMATICS
How to cultivate students to be mastered in mathematics is one of the crucial topics of educational policy all around the world. All countries concern about learning mathematics in pre-school children and look for appropriate pre-kindergarten mathematics standards for 3-5 years old children to start learning mathematics. This paper offers some examples of hands-on activities related with pre-kindergarten mathematics standards in general. Using familiar and fascinating objects to create activities for children is seen as a powerful strategy to motivate and empower them in doing mathematics. All activities presented in this paper could help teachers to formulate activity based teaching in their classrooms.
