SEMICLASSICAL DYNAMICS OF A NOISELESS JOSEPHSON JUNCTION EMBEDDED

Abstract: The equations of the motion of the superconducting phase difference across a noiseless Josephson junction embedded in a classical LC circuit are described and the dynamical properties of the system are investigated. In particular, a mechanical analog is given for small oscillations of the linearized superconducting phase difference and peculiar aspects of the phase states in the junctions are studied numerically in the nonlinear regime. |
