The selection of products or services is one of the most important group decision making issues for logistic managers. Naturally, customers commonly take relevant attributes into consideration for the selection of products or services. Further, the attribute assessment of a product or service is often presented by a sequence of linguistic data sequences and the preferences of the alternatives are presented by linguistic data matrices. To assess these linguistic data matrices of customers’ assessments on a product or service, a proper decision making method is essential and proposed in this paper. In the decision making method, the entries of the linguistic data matrices are represented by LR-fuzzy numbers and a fuzzy Borda-type group decision making method is developed and the selection can easily be made. The procedure representing the selection preferences of different customers on the products or services will be the foundation of developing customer relationship management (CRM).
