David Allen and Jose La Luz
|
Abstract: The purpose of this paper is to provide a mathematician interested in using a Bousfield-Kan type spectral sequence sufficient background and examples to be able to learn and use these tools. The main focus of the exposition will be on those techniques used in unstable homotopy theory such as cosimplicial methods and higher derived functors. |
Keywords and phrases: higher homotopy groups, unstable homotopy theory, higher derived functors of the primitive element functor, nice homology co-algebras, cosimplicial objects. |
