Abstract: Magnetic nano-composites of hard/soft ferrites
comprising and were successfully
prepared by citrate sol-gel method based on polyesterification reaction between
citric acid and ethylene glycol without pH adjusting. Phase composition,
morphology and magnetic properties of the synthesized materials as a function of
precursor molar ratio were evaluated by XRD, SEM and VSM techniques,
respectively. Analysis of the XRD patterns confirmed the formationof composite under the
experimental conditions. SEM images of the processed samples showed nano sized
uniform particles of magnetic composite. Also, evaluation of magnetization
curves shows that materials with variable magnetic properties between hard and
soft magnetic nature can be achieved by controlling the molar ratio of
precursors.
Keywords and phrases: magnetic composite, citrate sol-gel, ferrite.
