Abstract: Withtheaidofsymboliccomputation,the-dimensionalgeneralized
Broer-Kaup system is investigated using Bäcklund transformation and the Hirota
bilinear method. As a result, multiple soliton solutions with arbitrary constant
parameters are derived for that system. The properties for several solutions are
graphically studied, which might be helpful to understand the propagation of
long waves in shallow water.
