Abstract: A universal current-mode active-only filter is
proposed. The proposed circuit is realized by minimized active-only components
(four current-controlled second generation current conveyors and two operational
amplifiers) without external passive elements, which can simultaneously realize
five standard filter functions as lowpass (LP), highpass (HP), bandpass (BP),
bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP) response from the same configuration. The
parameters can be electronically tuned through
adjusting the parasitic resistance of the CCCII and the frequency response can
be linearly tuned through the transconductance gain of TCCIIs. Moreover, the
parameter sensitivities are all very low. PSPICE simulation results are given to
verify the circuit performance.
