Abstract: Most of known image steganography methods are homogeneous such that the same bit positions in the cover image pixels are used to hide the secret data such as LSB technique. In this paper, a new class, called non-homogeneous image steganography, is introduced which is based on using different bit positions of different pixels in the cover image to hide data. An algorithm for non-homogeneous steganography is presented which is based on the integration of genetic algorithm and simulated annealing. Results on the effectiveness of the proposed method are reported in this paper. |
