Abstract: Let be a strongly continuous semigroup
of bounded operators on a Banach space E,
and assume that this semigroup does not satisfy the “minimal distance
condition” (introduced by Esterle in [3]) near the origin. In this article, we
propose formulae for an exhaustive sequence of idempotents in the closed algebra
generated by the semigroup. The existence of such sequences was proved in [3] in
a non-constructive way.
