Abstract: As the IC fabrication technology gets into the
nanometer era, antenna effect may influence the manufacturing yield of VLSI
circuits. For a given X-clock routing tree that connects n clock sinks, we present a
discharge-path-based antenna effect detection method and apply jumper insertion
technique to fix antenna violations. Different from other works, the delay of
inserted vias is considered in delay calculation and a wire sizing technique
is used for skew compensation. The proposed PADJI algorithm runs into obtain
an antenna-safe X-clock tree. Experimental results show that our method
significantly outperforms than the existing works.
