Abstract: We show that firing frequency of a single Hodgkin-Huxley neuron receiving synaptic inputs is controllable by varying temporal patterns of input spikes without changing mean input frequency. For a case study, we consider the case where input spikes consist of two interval values (long and short). Genetic algorithm is used to search for desired spike patterns. |
