ON SOME GEOMETRICAL ASPECTS OF P-ADIC INTEGERS AS SEQUENCES AND DISTRIBUTION OF RATIONAL INTEGERS IN THE RING OF P-ADIC INTEGERS

N. R. Das and R. Bordoloi

Received May 3, 2009

Abstract
In this paper, we have studied some geometrical aspects of p-adic integers, considering them as sequence with a non-Archimedean norm defined in terms of their weights, partitioned  into equivalence classes and visualized the behaviour of the equivalence classes in it. Moreover, we have defined a function y which helps to determine the negative of a  p-adic number readily. An effort has been made to visualize the distribution of rational integers in the ring of p-adic integers

Keywords and phrases: weight function, non-Archimedean norm, negative-annihilator.
