SHIFT-INVARIANT COMPLEX CQF WAVELETS

Abstract: This work introduces a framework for the shift-invariant complex conjugate quadrature filter (CQF) wavelet transform. The shift-invariance of the CQF wavelets is attained by a half-sample delay operator. The real and imaginary parts of the CQF wavelet sequences form Hilbert pairs, which yields analytic transform coefficients. The present method can be adapted to all existing orthogonal real-valued CQF wavelet filter banks. |
