Abstract: A subgroup H
of a finite group G is said to be weakly S-supplemented
in G if G has a subgroup K such
that and
where is
the subgroup of H generated by all those subgroups of H which are S-permutable
in G. We are interested in studying
the influence of the weakly S-supplemented
of certain subgroups of prime power order on the structure of finite groups.
Keywords and phrases: saturated formation, supersolvable groups, weakly S-supplemented.
