THE COMPUTATION OF A COMMON STANDARD QUADRATIC LYAPUNOV FUNCTION FOR TRIDIAGONAL SYSTEM

Abstract: In this paper, we propose a method of computing a common standard quadratic Lyapunov function for a stable linear time-invariant (LTI) system, whose system matrix is tridiagonal. By virtue of mathematical induction and an existing lemma, we obtain a formula which simplifies the computing process. Then an algorithm and the analysis of the algorithm are given. Finally, an example is presented to illustrate the present method. |
