SOME TRAVELING WAVE SOLUTIONS OF THE THIN FILM EQUATION

Abstract

In this study, we attempt to obtain a traveling wave solution of the thin film equation by using the nonclassical symmetry method. The thin film equation in a traveling wave frame can be reduced to the Emden-Fowler equation and the Abel equation of the second kind. We present the exact solutions of the thin film equation based on the established solutions of the Emden-Fowler equation and the Abel equation of the second kind.
