Abstract: In
linear algebra, operator theory and linear system science the invariant
subspaces have a key role. An algebraic characterization ofthe families of invariant subspaces is further developed. In particular,
a necessary condition for a vector space to be A - and -invariant is proposed by using fundamental tools from exterior
and multi-linear algebra, and the Grassmann representative of the subspace.
