Abstract: In [5], Kudri has
introduced a good definition of semi-compactness and
-closedness in L-fuzzy topological
spaces. Also in [6, 7], Kudri and Warner have introduced a good definition of S-closedness
inL-fuzzy topological spaces and have studied some of its
properties. In this paper, we generalize the notions of semi-compactness, nearly
compactness and
-closedness to L-fuzzy bitopological
spaces and study some of its properties. We generalize these notions to
arbitraryL-fuzzy sets.
Generalizations of the notions, almost open map, irresolute map, completely
irresolute and semi-weakly continuous map to L-fuzzy bitopological spaces have been obtained. The properties of
these mappings have been studied in a next separate paper. Finally, we study the
behaviour of the notions of semi-compactness,
-closedness and nearly compactness under these types of mappings.
