The problem of a three dimensional inclined flow of a viscous incompressible electrically conducting fluid past an infinite inclined porous plate with variable suction in the presence of a heat sink, a uniform free stream and a uniform magnetic field applied in a direction normal to the plate is considered. The heated plate is subjected to a variable temperature distribution across its breadth together with first order velocity slip conditions; the slip parameter being very small. The expressions for the velocity and temperature fields are obtained. Further, the expressions for the skin friction at the plate in the main flow and transverse flow directions, the rate of heat transfer at the plate in terms of the Nusselt number are obtained in non-dimensional forms. The natures of the aforementioned expressions are demonstrated in figures and tables for different values of the parameters involved. |
