Abstract
 |
In this paper, we report a [9, 3] ternary
linear code C. Except for
and
each of its code-words has equal
number of zero-bits, one-bits and two-bits, a property that makes in most cases
error detection a simple task of counting bits of various kinds. We discuss the
generator and parity check matrices of C
and explore its error correction capabilities. The relative superiority of C
over the ternary [9, 3] repetition code in terms of error correction is also
discussed. |
