A MOMENT-BASED TEST OF GENETIC LINKAGE UNDER HETEROGENEITY
In this paper, we propose a moment-based test for the test of genetic linkage under heterogeneity. Since the number of recombinations out of the total number of meioses from each family has the mixture binomial distributions, we reinstate the traditional genetic linkage hypothesis as the hypothesis of the mixture binomial distributions. Our test is very easy to calculate and has a simple asymptotic standard normal distribution. Simulations results show the power of our test is quite competitive to the scores tests proposed by Shoukri and Lathrop [14], and Wu and Gupta [18].
