GENERALIZED MEASURE OF ASSOCIATION FOR CONTINGENCY TABLES
For the analysis of two-way contingency tables, Cramer [3, p. 282] considered the measure which describes the strength of association between the row and column variables. Applying the Cressie-Read power-divergence, Tomizawa et al. [10] considered some measures including This paper proposes more generalized measure including the Tomizawa-Miyamoto-Houya measures. The measures of forms of harmonic, geometric and arithmetic means are given as special cases of the generalized measure. The measures are applied to some data including unaided distance vision data.
