ATOMS, BINARY TREES AND DICHOTOMIC NON-MARKOVIAN PROCESSES

Giuseppe Di Biase (Italy) and Raimondo Manca (Italy)

Received October 27, 2005

Abstract
After stating the bijection between the space of all possible sets of atoms obtainable from a binary trial sequence of length n and the space of all possible n-level binary trees, we consider the probability distributions on n-level binary trees and then we describe the binary trial processes by means of the weighted n-level binary trees. In this way, we constructed very simple tools for analysing dichotomic non-markovian processes.

Keywords and phrases: atoms, binary trees, conditional probability, dichotomic models.
