MOMENTUM CONSERVATIVE SCHEME FOR SIMULATING GRANULAR LANDSLIDE OVER AN INCLINED RIGID BED
This article discusses granular flow on an inclined plane. Granular flow is modeled on the principles of conservation of mass and conservation of momentum. The equation obtained has a form resembling the equation of shallow water with friction and plane slope effects. This equation is solved numerically by a conservative momentum scheme on a staggered grid. The results show that this method is able to simulate the landslide phenomenon. Comparison with the analytical solution shows that this method is better if given a smaller spatial step.
