NUMERICAL SIMULATION OF A 3D DAM BREAKING PROBLEM WITH OBSTACLES IN DOWNSTREAM
A numerical simulation of a 3D dam breaking with obstacles in downstream is studied in this paper. The mean objective of this study is both the pressure impact on the obstacles for several initial levels of the dam and the velocity of the front wave. An implicit finite volume method and volume-of-fluid method are used for momentum equations and free surface, respectively. Computational results presented for dam break problems are discussed and shown to be in good agreement with other results reported in the open literature.
