Abstract: Background
Simulation has rarely been used or studied in the dietetics profession, despite its beneficial effects on students and its prevalence in other healthcare disciplines.
Objective
This study examined the effect of simulation training on dietetics students’ self-efficacy before supervised clinical practice.
Design
A pretest-posttest was conducted during the fall of the 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 academic years.
Participants
A non-random, convenience sample was taken from the University of Idaho’s Coordinated Program in Dietetics (CPD) classes of 2015 and 2016 34 matched pairs were obtained. |
