Contrast image enhancement is a technique in image to increase the appearance of an image. Lots of techniques are available to increase the contrast of an image in spatial domain. Contrast stretching is one of the techniques to increase the contrast of an image but it increases the brightness of image. This paper is a fuzzy based contrast stretching technique which balances the brightness in the image. PSNR and MSE values after enhancement is depicted in the tabular form as well as graphical form to analyze effect of fuzzy based contrast enhancement technique applied on corresponding images.
